Domino tackles digital growth at LOUPE Americas

Domino’s hybrid printing solutions bring together the best of digital and flexo technologies to give converters flexibility, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Converters investing in a new digital label printing press need to consider the bigger picture, focusing on the overall value a press could deliver to their business, as well as the initial investment, consumable cost, or press speed. These are the discussions taking place at Booth 6025 at LOUPE Americas.

With a wide range of products – ranging from the N610i-R to the K600i dual bar digital UV inkjet printer – Domino is highlighting its reliable solutions, backed by a service offering tailored to a converter’s needs. The technology can help support converters in scaling their business and maximizing the return on their investment.

Mike Barry, commercial director, Domino Digital Printing Americas says, “The N610i-R offers more than just immediate print flexibility – it’s a way to future-proof your business. As demand grows for faster turnaround, versioning, and customization, having a digital press allows converters to adapt quickly. With no need to expand facility size, or worry about adding additional footprint, they gain a competitive edge while keeping capital expenditures and operational disruptions to a minimum. It allows converters to implement digital printing at a lower cost entry point, while providing a great value proposition for them to go after and acquire new customers and increase their revenue.”

At the booth, Domino is highlighting the N610i-R, together with the K600i, and in partnership with Mark Andy on their DSiQ-R digital inkjet module. Domino has designed these products to create a fully hybrid, single-pass production solution.

Domino’s hybrid printing solutions bring together the best of digital and flexographic technologies to give label converters flexibility, productivity, and cost efficiency. By integrating high-quality digital print engines, such as the versatile N610i-R digital retrofit module and K600i variable data printer, with traditional flexo presses, hybrid systems enable rapid changeovers, superb print results, and efficient handling of multiple SKU jobs.

Expanding the capability of a converter’s existing asset allows for efficiency improvements and waste savings with the utilization of the N610i digital inkjet platform.

When integrated into a flexo press, the N610i-R allows converters to expand their range of applications while still meeting the benefits of quick turnaround and non-stop production for multiple SKU jobs.

In-House Leasing

Another popular topic at the booth is Domino’s In-House Leasing program. This program allows a converting business to grow with the advancements that are made in digital technology. Customers can then pay for their digital press over a period of time, typically three to five years with fixed, monthly payments.

Focusing on Sunrise

Sunrise 2027 is a global initiative to move the linear barcode to a QR code format by the year 2027. This evolution is going to change the way converters print labels for their customers. By the year 2027, retailers have committed to having the scanning equipment to accept the new QR code format, and with that, brand owners and manufacturers are going to have the ability to add in additional information other than just the pricing and inventory information in the products they sell.

Additional unique information, such as serial numbers, date and lot codes, promo¬tional information and other variable information, will be put into the UPC QR code without taking up additional real estate on the label.

What does this mean for converters? The brand owner is going to want to unleash the power of this new code and the ability to add that additional data information. This will make every label variable and unique in that it will have to have its own identifier or number. The brand owner is going to understand the benefits from this, and they’re going to look to the label and packaging converters to help them take advantage of these changes.

“LOUPE Americas 2026 provides a great opportunity for converters to experience Domino digital technology firsthand, explore our complete portfolio, and talk with our team about how digital can fit into their business,” says Barry. “From live Domino N610i-R, K600i, and Sunrise DFE demonstrations to printed label samples attendees can take with them, we want visitors to leave Booth 6025 with a clear understanding of what Domino technology can deliver. And with our In-House Leasing Program, we’re providing another way to make that investment more accessible, with predictable costs and options designed around the customer’s needs.”
